"I am very happy with the instruction I received in the beginner package I purchased in May. I have already sold 12-14 pieces and have commissions to sell more. I spread myself a little thin and made necklaces and earrings also, but what I have mostly sold is the wire wrapped pendants. I wear some of my designs and have had people buy jewelry I am wearing several times. The other encouraging thing is that they are frequently offering me more than I am asking. I can see the imperfections that they can't see, and also, if I had the expense of setting up at a craft fair I would have to charge more. I know the wire is the best that I have done. I am beginning to feel more confident in what I am doing and am gradually charging more. Thanks for the good instruction, and best wishes!"

Wire Temper and Shape
Maimun from Utica asks,
"I've been enjoying working with wire but having a hard time guessing what temper and shape is best used for what application. What are the characteristics of the different types (temper and shape rather than metal or gauge) of wire you sell? Thanks."
Temper is the hardness/softness of a metal.
You will find soft is best for intricate and sculpting work. Half hard is good and both of these can be worked by rubbing and stroking to re-distribute the particles and therefore hardening the metal with a polishing cloth or tumbler.
Hard is used only when you want just that, i.e. a hard wire that isn't going to be worked and needs to hold it's shape.
SHAPE. That can be round, half round, square or patterned.
ROUND is the most common. It can be twisted and turned in all directions. Also, it can be hammered to give a rough effect but all shapes can be gently hammered to distort if you prefer.
HALF- ROUND is usually used when the wire needs to sit flush with another or, as is the same with SQUARE, in a design and is maybe twisted or sculpted.
HALF-ROUND is usually not bent sideways more than a few degrees. It can be bent back and forth or used straight. A good example would be a D-shaped ring.
SQUARE. This wire is used for both wire wrapping and sculpting and is very versatile for all sorts of wire projects.
