Minnesota winters are looooooooooong! The good news is we have a lot of time indoors making things. Hunkering down with my jewelry supplies, SAD light, hot cocoa and my little pups curled up in front of the fire is total inspiration!
Many don't agree with me but I tell you, snowy chilly cozy days can bring out the creativity vibe, that's what the Hygge lifestyle (a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being) is based on. Meik Wiking, author of "The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well", shares the ten principles of the Hygge Manifesto:

Danes are considered the happiest folks on the planet, so they must know a little about Hygge!
I found this beautiful gray, black and white fabric for the back of a quilt and used it as inspiration for this necklace. It's a quick, fun piece to make and introduces you to using a Tube Wringer for texturing wire. You can also use it to texture metal sheet blanks as well.
